Linda Pearce

I’ve been interested in landscape photography since the early 1970’s when I went on my first Sierra Club trip dedicated to photography, but have only been involved in the world of digital photography since 2000. Working primarily in color, I still take most of my photographs while backpacking or base camping.
Although I enjoy photography, my methodology is best described as intuitive. I walk until ‘something’ strikes me as interesting, whether it be a scene that evokes some emotion, or a pleasing arrangement of shapes or colors. For me, the use of color is an integral part of creating the mood of the photograph; occasionally I will digitally manipulate the color range of a subject to evoke a certain feeling in the viewer.
